REVIEW: Kiss the Sky by Krista and Becca Ritchie

                                             Kiss the Sky

BLURB: Virgin. Sex addict. Daredevil. Alcoholic. Smartass … Jackass. Her five friends are about to be filmed. Reality TV, be prepared.

Rose Calloway thought she had everything under control. At twenty-three, she’s a Princeton graduate, an Academic Bowl champion, a fashion designer and the daughter of a Fortune 500 mogul. But with a sex addict as a sister and roommate, nothing comes easy.

After accepting help from a producer, Rose agrees to have her life filmed for a reality television show. The Hollywood exec is her last chance to revive her struggling fashion line, and boundaries begin to blur as she’s forced to make nice with a man who always has his way.

Twenty-four-year-old Connor Cobalt is a guy who bulldozes weak men. He’s confident, smart-as-hell and lives with his equally ambitious girlfriend, Rose Calloway. Connor has to find a way to protect Rose without ruining the show. Or else the producer will get what Connor has always wanted—Rose’s virginity.

This New Adult Standalone Romance can be described as Friends meets The Real World. Expect fist fights, drugs, sex of varying degrees, crude humor and competitive alpha males. Definitely for mature readersaudiences only

 My Review
People hope to touch the sky. I dream of kissing it.

Oh this book. I think it is my favorite out of the Addicted Series, even though this is a spin off I still consider it as part of the series. Anyways, there is not many books or series that I would re-read. Only because i've read it, no sense in reading it again. But this series is one that I would read again and again. I know this is marked as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the others first, that way you have a better understanding and connection with the other characters.

What I loved about Kiss the Sky is that I didn't feel like there was any repetition about previous storylines. We jump right into Connor and Rose.

People thought she was nuts-- in a genius"I will devour your soul" kind of way. I thought she was fucking fascinating.

Connor, oh Connor. I have always loved him, but in KtS I fell so much more in love with him. He may sound like a smartass all the time and he is but there is so much more behind who he is. And him and Rose together? Fucking brilliant. They both are strong characters, but they work so good together. They push each other.

She was a genius on paper. But not a team player. She was quick to loathe others. But not against loving. She was a complicated equation that didn't need to be solved.

Anyways. In light of the scandal surrounding Lily and Lo's addictions, Rose decides that doing a reality tv show around their group will help people see who they really are. That even though it seems people know Lily and Lo because of their addictions, they really don't. In turn hopefully it will help Calloway Couture. I have to give major props to Krista and Becca, they did such an amazing job on the inner workings of a reality show. I love how they didn't make everything perfect, they mentioned how things were edited to look. Let's face it, we all know reality tv isn't really reality. The way they handled that aspect of he story was very well done.

He makes me believe that anything is possible. I don't think I'll ever find someone quite like Connor Cobalt.

Rose and Connor. I have to say there was some surprises for me with them. Good surprises. I liked finally being in Rose's head. Knowing how she felt about Connor and in return I liked knowing how he thought/felt about her as well. They work, just plain and simple. He knows exactly how to handle her, how to calm her, and frankly how to f*ck her. Boy does he know how to do that... That was the most shocking for me. I enjoyed every bit of their relationship. I wanted more and more from them! But I am excited for Daisy and Ryke. I have a feeling I will love Ryke just as much as I love Conner!!

"You're not a pit stop. You're my finish line. There's no one after you."

"Kiss the sky with me," Connor whispers, a beautiful smile pulling his lips, "and don't ever come down."

5+ stars!!!
