Add it to your TBR today!!! HIS REVERIE Goodreads
His Reverie Teaser
EXCERPT: “Thirsty?” I jump at the sound of a soft female voice, my hand jerking so the hose splashes me right in the face. Muttering a curse, I drop the hose and reach out blindly, wrenching the faucet off with one hand as I swipe at my eyes with the back of the other. I hear the girl laugh and I whirl around, fully prepared to find some bratty preteen Hale daughter mocking me. But she’s not a preteen. Not even close. More like around my age. She’s tall and slender, her long blonde hair falling far past bared tan shoulders. She’s wearing some sort of sundress or whatever you call it and she’s pretty much covered since it hits just above her knees, though her arms are exposed since the dress is sleeveless. The sun catches her just right though, shining through the thin fabric of her skirt so I can see through it. My gaze drops and all I can see is long, long legs through the shadowy fabric. Damn. Those sexy legs are endless. She clears her throat, like she knows exactly where I’m looking and what I’m thinking and I jerk my gaze up guiltily to meet hers, feeling like a jackass. That’s when I notice her eyes are blue. As blue as the sky above us, and she’s so damn pretty, with delicate features and pink, pink lips, that I can’t seem to form words. “Who are you?” she asks curiously. Her voice washes over me, sweet and melodic and now it’s my turn to clear my throat to get the lump out so I can freaking speak. “Who are you?” I ask back like an idiot. She smiles shyly and my entire body reacts, a bolt of electricity seeming to go through me. “I asked first.” “Are you Hale’s daughter?” If she is, that sucks because holy hell she’s hot but yeah. She’s completely untouchable if she’s a Hale. “What if I am?” She kicks at the ground with her sandaled foot, her cheeks coloring the faintest pink. Innocence radiates from her. She looks like a damn angel and seems a little uncomfortable with me. Despite her seeming discomfort, I think she might be trying to flirt with me. “Well, I’d make sure and be extra polite to you since I work for your dad.” I go with the truth because I don’t want any problems from this girl. I probably shouldn’t even be alone with her. She could say anything, accuse me of something terrible and I’d have no defense. Her word against mine. And her word would win every single time. Another laugh escapes her and she slowly shakes her head. “I like your honesty.” I like everything about her so far but I keep my lips clamped shut. I’ve already said enough to make myself look like a total loser.“So I’m guessing you’re definitely Hale’s daughter?”

BLOG TOUR: Where There's Smoke by Elizabeth Lee

Blurb:
There is something to be said for letting go. Ryland Roberts knows that better than anyone. He'd let go of his ambitions, of his family and—most of all—of her. He'd perfected the art of putting his past behind him and accepted the fact that the town he wanted to leave in his rearview was the place where he was going to live out his days. But sometimes the past doesn't just go away. Sometimes it comes back to haunt you.

Piper Jameson convinced herself that she left for all the right reasons. She'd saved people by leaving—made sure that they weren't tainted by her rebellious ways. When her little sister asks her to come home and say goodbye to their ailing mother, she's forced to see that things aren't always as they seem. The people who she'd left behind might not have been saved at all.

In the amount of time it takes a bullet to travel from point A to point B, Piper and Ryland will have to put their feelings for each other aside and make a choice. Forced on the run with Piper's sister, they begin to understand that the future they thought was gone was never really lost.

My Review
Well Damn. I could not put this book down.. I finished it in one day, I was so hooked!

If you have read anything else by Elizabeth Lee then you should be warned this is different than what she normally writes. This takes on a little darker subject matter and it isn't light and fluffy! I LOVED it! I am really digging this side of Elizabeth Lee!

Piper and Ryland had a good thing going six years ago. They were young and in love. Experiencing life together. But Piper wasn't known to be a good girl and after what should have been the best night of their lives turned into the worst night, Piper was forced to leave. I hate that Piper left, but I get her decisions. I don't think I would have done things any differently.

Ryland is still angry at Piper for leaving him. She just up and disappeared. No goodbye,no contact for six long years. When she comes back into town he is furious and determined to not let her affect him again. I also have to agree with how he felt.

I really liked these two together.I felt like in a way they balanced each other. I have to admit even with the blurb(guess I'm a little dense) I didn't expect events to turn out the way they did. I liked the way things played out and even though it may not seem realistic I totally could see it happening in real life and working.. I wish we would have seen more about Hadley, but it seems like my wish is coming true! :)Another favorite book and characters! I didn't want this book to end!!

Easily a 5 star read for me!!

Entice (Eagle Elite Book 3) May 13, 2014....Are you in

My Review
From the beginning of this series I have ALWAYS had a soft spot for Chase. Don't get me wrong, I love Nixon and all,but Chase won me over from the very start. So naturally reading a book that is mainly about him was something I instantly had to have!! Everything in this book just solidfies why I love him so much. After all the Trace-Nixon-Chase drama I was pulling for Chase to find the woman for him. I love Trace, but to me she didn't deserve Chase. He doesn't deserve to be someone's second choice..
While this book is about Chase and Mil, it also focuses on the whole Elect group as a whole. After all they are all connected. I think my favorite thing about this book was all the alternating POVs. Rachel Van Dyken can switch through multiple POVs with ease and the story continued to flow smoothly. I never once thought hearing from others aside from Mil or Chase was uneccessary. Being inside Nixon and Tex's head was completley needed. Though I have to say it would of been nice to hear Mo's POV. I love her!

Anyways- Mil is now head of the De Lange family. It is her job to fix all the mistakes they have made and to prevent them from doing something even worse.  Problem is, they don't want her in charge. Chase agrees to marry her, his name, wealth, and loyalty make him very important. He has the means to protect her. I loved watching Mil and Chase develop and grow together.

"I won't let you down. I may be a lot of things, and I may be a terrible husband, since I'm still nursing a broken heart and all that, but I'll be loyal. I'll help you. I'll protect you. That's what family does."

A lot of shit happens. This book is action packed and has some mystery elements as well. I could not put it down! I devoured it in a matter of hours! I could have continued reading more and more. Hitting that 100% mark sucked because I wanted more!  Of all of the series I have read by Rachel Van Dyken, this one is my favorite. I am always anxiously awaiting what is going to happen next for the Elect. Some things are tied up at the end of this book while new things unravel. I know the last line of this book and the teaser look at the next book have me once again waiting on pins and needles to see where Rachel Van Dyken will take the Elect family next! An easy 5 stars for me!!!

BLOG TOUR: Last Second Chance by Caisey Quinn

Last Second Chance
Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 12, 2014

Blurb:
When Stella Jo Chandler gets an offer to work at the Second Chance Ranch celebrity rehab facility right after graduating from Texas A&M, she’s tempted to turn it down. She wants to help real people with real problems, not spoiled celebrities going on vacation for publicity. But growing up on her family’s ranch left her with a love of horses that draws her to the opportunity. How bad can babysitting a bunch of strung out celebrities be?

What she didn’t count on was being roped into a tangled mess with infamous rocker and three-time rehab drop out Van Ransom on her first day. And she sure didn’t expect to feel the overwhelming attraction that pulls her to the man who has more issues than she can count on both hands. Like the hotel rooms and tour buses he’s famous for trashing, the havoc he could wreak on Stella’s heart would be irreparable.

Van isn’t at Second Chance for publicity or because he’s suffering from “exhaustion”. He’s on the brink of destruction, and he needs the kind of help Stella isn’t sure she can give. But without her, he'll lose everything. Because he’s on his last second chance.

My Review
Finding the words to describe how much I loved this book are going to be difficult, but I'll try.

It's no secret that I love everything I have read by Caisey Quinn but this book blew me away. In perfect Caisey Quinn fashion I was pulled into Van and Stella's story. It isn't a pretty one, but then again not all love stories are.

Van is an addict. Sex, drugs, and rock n roll. The whole shebang. He uses alcohol and whatever drugs he can get his hands on to take him away, to numb him from everything in his past, and when that doesn't work sex does. He's drowning in all of it. He's offered his last second chance. Go to the Second Chance rehab facility and clean up or lose his band.

Stella Jo wants something different out of life than running around and doing her mama's bidding. She just wants to feel something, to make a change. So instead of running back home to mama she takes a job at Second Chance Ranch Rehab.

I loved seeing Van and Stella's story unfold. It was messy, ugly, sad, and beautiful all at the same time. The hardest thing in life to understand sometimes is that life isn't always pretty, sometimes it's ugly. It makes you want to check out for awhile. To forget, to stop feeling anything but oblivion. This book helps remind us of that. However it also helps remind us that life is about more than one, two, or even three chances. Sometimes all it takes is having that one person in your corner to help you fight your battles, to help remind you that you don't have to do it alone.

This is one of my favorite Caisey Quinn books. She continues to amaze me with not just her writing ability but with her ability to take on something darker than she usually writes and to knock it out of the park!

If you want a simple, butterflies and roses romance story this isn't it. If you want something a little edgy, sexy, and that deals with struggles of the harder part of life. then this is for you.

Beautifully done!

This book is without a doubt an easy 5 stars!!!!

Interview with Mr. Van Ransom!
VAN RANSOM: Mad Man or Just Misunderstood?

ROLLING STONE INTERVIEW WITH VAN RANSOM

RS: Hello, Mr. Ransom. It’s nice to meet you.

Van: Is it? *leans back in chair and folds heavily inked arms* What would you say is particularly nice about it?

RS: Um, well…your band, Hostage for Ransom, has had an amazing year. That must be pretty exciting to be a part of. How has the past year been for you?

Van: *snorts* Honestly I can’t remember most of it.

RS: *checks notecards* When you say you can’t remember, you mean…

Van: I mean I was dropped on my head a lot as a kid and I have short-term memory deficit.

RS: Okay. Perhaps you should see a doctor.

Van: Perhaps I should. I’ll look right into that.

RS: Mr. Ransom, surely your aware of the rumors circulating.

Van: Can’t say I am. Don’t have a habit of paying attention to rumors.

RS: Ah well, of course not. I just meant that, with all the media speculation, surely you’re aware that there have been mumblings about the possibility of your label, Red Devil Records, dropping you due to the incident last year in Vegas.

Van: I was in Vegas last year? Well, damn. Kind of wish I did remember that.

RS: Let’s take this opportunity to lay the rumors to rest then. Did you or did you not wreck a ten thousand dollar a night hotel room?

Van: *raises and eyebrow* That’s what they tell me.

RS: Any idea why you might’ve done something like that? Did you have a fight with someone? Another member of your band perhaps?

Van: *huffs out a harsh laugh* The only person I fight with is the voice in my head. So yeah, maybe he pissed me off.

RS: And the bus?
Van: *narrows eyes* What about it?

RS: Want to tell your fans why you trashed your tour bus last week and canceled two shows in New York?

Van:  There was…New York is… You know what? On top of all the shit I can’t remember, I have no recollection of agreeing to this interview. I think we’re done here.
*stands abruptly, knocking over chair and is followed out by his manager and a publicist*

Van Ransom, ladies and gentlemen. Mad man or just misunderstood? We can’t be sure. Guess you’ll just have to decide for yourself.

TEASERS

EXCERPT

Van stood at the edge of her bed and stared down at her. He had to clench his hands at his side to keep himself steady.
Fuck, she was beautiful. She was more than beautiful. She was a goddess. She was something no one had created a word for yet. Because no other such creature had existed.
“Lose the blanket, Stella Jo.” His gravelly voice filled the small room.
She nodded, licked her lips, and slid the white comforter down. His eyes narrowed when he saw that she’d left her bra and underwear on.
“I said naked, cowgirl. But you know that, don’t you?”
“I was…” She paused to take a deep breath. “I thought I had more time.”
Setting the rope and riding crop on the bedside table, Van crossed his arms. “You have all the time in the world. Go ahead. I’ll wait.”
Her emerald eyes widened, meeting his with an ‘are you serious’ stare. He nodded once at her unspoken question.
She stood on shaking legs, and he resisted the urge to let her off the hook. She was nervous. She should be. He was going to do things to her that would wreck her—things she wouldn’t be able to forget for as long as she lived.
He planned to make damn sure of it.

Title: FINALLY MINE
Author: Anne Hansen
Age group: New Adult
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Cover designer: Anne Hansen
Organized by: WordSmith Publicity

Book Description:
An incredible stroke of luck lands Vin Moretti a plea bargain—he spends his summer slaving at a country club instead of rotting in a jail cell. He plans to keep his head down and avoid the trust fund brats.

He never expects to fall for a gorgeous, amazing girl way out of his league.

When Keira McCabe falls in love with Vin Moretti, it’s head-over-heels, crazy, incredible love. She’s sure nothing can ruin what they have…but she has no idea how far Vin will go to protect her from the one thing he’s most afraid of: himself.

Summer ends, and Keira returns to the sprawling suburbs where she belongs, while Vin slinks back to the wrong side of the tracks and his old trouble-making ways. They promise to make long-distance love work.

It’s just dumb luck that her father’s unexpected demotion moves Keira smack in Vin’s gritty neck of the woods. Vin realizes he’ll need do whatever it takes to keep Keira safe—even if it means shutting the person he loves the most out of his dangerous life completely.

When Vin turns his back on Keira at her lowest moment, it finally hits her: she was never going to be anything more than his dirty little secret. Her life as she knows it has been torn to shreds, but she’s determined to make the best of it…with or without the guy she gave her heart to over the summer.

Vin starts to have second thoughts about his decision when he realizes how empty life is without Keira around. The problem is, Keira’s learned her lesson, and she isn’t about to be used again.

Vin realizes he’s going to have to pull out all the stops and turn his life around if he wants to make Keira finally his.

My Review
I have to say, I feel like I have been hitting the book lotto here lately. It seems I have read some pretty good ones here recently and this one was no exception! I loved Vin and Kiera.
Vin isn't your typical bad boy in my eyes. That boy has a heart of gold underneath it all. This book really is about being true to yourself. Be the person you want to be, never feel like it is out of your reach.  Vin is lucky when he is able to pass up jail time in exchange for working at a county club. He never expects to fall for someone like Kiera, better yet to be a better man because of her. I loved him with Kiera when he was being true to himself and not trying to live up to what his past dictated.
Kiera has it all, until she doesn't. She takes a job at the country club to help bring in more money for bills. Her dad isn't doing so good at work and ends up taking another job. Gone is the luxury Kiera had before. But my favorite thing about Kiera is that even though she was born with money, she isn't a stuck up bitch. She works with what she's got and she does it with a smile on her face. Meeting Vin was the best thing that could have happened to her. She falls in love.
Vin and Kiera plan to keep their relationship afloat by phone calls and text. They just want to make it through this last year at school. Vin wants to prove he is really worthy of Kiera's affection, but right now he's so messed up in illegal shit with his uncle he feels like he'll never be the man Kiera needs. Their plans goes up in smoke when Kiera moves to his neighborhood. Everything he is trying to hide from her and turn around is thrust right in her face. Even though the way Vin handled things was painful, I can see why he does what he does. If you love someone you protect them. But maybe Kiera is strong enough for the both of them. Read Finally Mine and see for yourself!!!
