From the New York Times bestselling author of The Lie and The Pact comes a new romance that will test your limits and leave you breathless.
veiled available nowVeiled AMAZON

About Veiled:
Death. It's something that Ada Palomino has always known so well, having grown up in a house of horrors, surrounded by a family plagued by ghosts and demons and things that go bump in the night. But after the sudden and tragic death of her mother two years ago, death has never felt so personal. Or so close. Now eighteen, Ada is trying to move on with her life and the last month of summer holds nothing but sunshine and promises with her first year at a Portland design school just around the bend. That is until her increasingly violent and realistic dreams, dreams of other worlds, of portals and veils where her mother is tortured and souls bleed for mercy, start to blend into reality. Ada has to lean on her older sister, Perry, to try and make sense of it all but even then, she's never felt more alone. Then there's Jay. Tall, handsome and deeply mysterious, Jay would be just another stranger, a familiar face on the bus, if it wasn't for the fact that Ada has met him before. Every night. In every single dream. And the more that Ada is drawn to him in both worlds, the more she's in danger of losing everything. Including her heart. And her very soul.

  Veiled-now         Veiled-3D-book

Then, out of nowhere: “You looked beautiful tonight, by the way.” Oh jeez. Be still my fucking heart. I try and swallow, his words, the sincerity in his voice rocking my world off-balance. “Which part? When the power went out or when Jacob went upstairs to fight a demon?” I joke. But I joke because I’m feeling this a little too much. “All of it. You know why I call you Princess?” he asks, his tone graver than before, like he’s letting me in on a very deep secret. “Because I’m a spoiled brat?” “Because you’re beautiful.” Well that shut me up. The sentence hangs in the air, larger than life. He clears his throat and goes on and I have to fight against the urge to roll over and face him. “You have this way about you. You don’t see it. But I do. Like you’re born royalty. The way you hold yourself. Your walk. The face of an angel.” Butterflies take flight in my gut, spreading through my veins until my whole body feels like its floating. “Why are you being so nice to me? Am I going to die?” He laughs softly. “I don’t know why I’m saying these things. Just seemed like the things to say. You’re destined for something great, Ada, I know this. And it’s an honor to help see you through it.” His words cascade down on me like ashes from a fire. Where they land, I’m ignited. Jay thinks I’m beautiful. And more than that, he believes in me. Silence settles over us, stealing time. I hear him breathing in the dark, steady as a heartbeat. He might even be sleeping. But I can’t even begin to shut down. My entire body, from the top of my scalp, down to my toes, is buzzing with heat and electricity. It’s like everything I felt for him before, everything I try to ignore, is coming out in full force, responding to his words, to his body so close to mine. I can feel the warmth at my back, sinking into my spine, just from his presence only. I’m starting to have feelings for him. Not just in a he’s a giant hulking beast who’s here to protect me from the underworld way. But real feelings, slowly creeping into my heart, day by day. The thought is terrifying in the same way that demons are terrifying. They both might take possession of me. They both might ruin me. And I’m not sure how much of me I’ll have left.

QUESTIONS ABOUT VEILED

Q: Is this YA?

A: No. The main character is 18 and there is sex, crude language and violence in the book. It is recommended for mature teens or 18 and up.

Q: Is there a cliffhanger?

A: Nope! There's also no cheating and no love triangle (think I've covered the bases there!)

Q: Do I need to read the series (Experiment in Terror) that Veiled is a spinoff of first?

A: Absolutely not. Veiled stands alone. You do not need to have read the EIT series beforehand as this follows a different character (Ada Palomino) and a different storyline. However for those who have read EIT, all your favorites are in the book!

Q: Is it horror? Your other series was and I don't handle scary very well...

A: No, it's paranormal romance (though I promise you there are no vampires or werewolves), and while there are creepy elements to the story, it wouldn't be classified as horror. If you can read KMM's Fever Series or ANY urban fantasy, you'll be fine.

Review Tour: Hitched Vol 2 by Kendall Ryan

Hitched Banner 2Hitched 2
Arranged marriage? Check.
Cocky new husband? Check. It's a marriage of convenience—one I’m determined to keep strictly professional. I can't be stupid enough to fall for this sexy playboy's charm or advances. I have to be strong, even if he is my husband. Except he has a huge cock with an even bigger ego, and his main goal in life seems to be getting me to stroke both. The arrogant bastard is like sweet, sugary candy for my libido. I know he’s bad for me. But I want to devour every wicked inch of him. With his sexual prowess and experience, I know he’ll be explosive in the bedroom. And since we’re stuck together for the foreseeable future—keeping up this marriage charade long enough to turn the company profitable again—I deserve something to look forward to at the end of a long workday, right? What could one little taste hurt? This is volume 2 in the Imperfect Love series.

Amazon | Amazon UK | iBooks | Nook | Kobo

“What’s wrong?” I ask. “Just a little tight, is all.” I inhale through my nose. I have to shove the pregnancy stuff to the back corner of my brain. We’re a long way off from Olivia letting me pump her full of my semen anyhow, so why am I stressing about it now? The first step is showing her how compatible we can be. And that starts now. I smile at her. “Sit tight. I’ll be right back.” I grab a bottle of massage oil from the hall closet and return to the living room. The soft jazz music seems to float in the air, creating a pleasant buzz in the atmosphere. Olivia’s eyes widen when I rejoin her on the couch, but she doesn’t question me. “I’ll give you a massage,” I suggest. “Take off your sweatshirt.” Olivia flinches, chewing on her lip while she watches me. “But I’m not wearing anything underneath.” That’s the idea. “I promise not to look.” She hesitates for another second, then turns her back to me and pulls her shirt over her head, dropping it to the floor. The creamy canvas in front of me is one to be admired. The twin dimples in her lower back near the band of her leggings would make lesser men weep. I warm a few drops of oil between my palms and rest my hands on her stiff shoulders. “Relax. Okay?”

My Review
This installment picks up 48 hours after the last one ended. Olivia left Noah at the altar and he is determined to get answers. I was actually surprised to see how quickly this was handled; other books would have drawn this out and made things super angsty. So it was nice to see it done differently and even though this could have been the main focus of the book it wasn’t, because there are other issues to handle.
It’s no secret that Noah has genuine feelings for Olivia. But he’s keeping secrets. The agreement that Noah and Olivia had to sign had a heir clause. Noah read the contract, but Olivia didn’t. Now Noah struggles with getting what he’s always wanted and being up front about the heir clause.
I have to admit I found myself a little frustrated with Noah in this installment. I feel like he needs to stop thinking with his head below the belt and use the one on his shoulders. I did like this installment, but found it lacking something, I’m just not sure yet. I am hoping the final installment is just what I need.
Once again this ends on a cliffhanger, but that was a warning given when news of this series released. I knew going in that every book was going to leave me wanting more. That’s why I am glad that these books release within weeks of the other.
4 stars!

   hitched 1

Marry the girl I’ve had a crush on my whole life? Check. Inherit a hundred-billion-dollar company? Check. Produce an heir… Wait, what? I have ninety days to knock up my brand-new fake wife. There’s only one problem—she hates my guts. And in the fine print of the contract? The requirement that we produce an heir. She can’t stand to be in the same room with me. Says she’ll never be in my bed. But I’ve never backed down from a challenge and I’m not about to start now. Mark my words—I’ll have her begging for me, and it won’t take ninety days.   On the heels of her smash hit and New York Times bestselling SCREWED series, Kendall Ryan brings you HITCHED, a romantic comedy that delivers heart and heat. A NYC playboy turned business mogul has ninety days to win over the woman he's always desired in order to save his father's company. One tiny problem: She hates his guts.

Blurb
The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn’t exactly make a good impression.
I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date.
He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice.
So I told him to mind his own damn business—his own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn business—and went back to my miserable date.
When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date.
I couldn’t help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room.  Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.
When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out.
But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined us—telling elaborate, embarrassing stories about our fake childhood.
My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting.
When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I’d never see him again.
I mean, what were the chances I’d run into him again in a city with eight million people?
Then again…
What were the chances a month later he’d wind up being my new sexy boss?

EXCERPT
“Sorry, I wasn’t looking where—”
I froze.
The sight of Chase standing there was almost enough to knock me over. I’d secretly hoped to see him, yet never thought I actually would. What are the chances? I did a double take, sure I was seeing things. But it was him all right, in the flesh. And what flesh it is. Standing there shirtless and wet—wearing nothing but a pair of low-slung swim trunks—he had me stuttering. Literally.
“Ch…Ch…Ch—” I couldn’t get the word out.
Of course, Chase didn’t miss a beat. He smirked and leaned in. “You do a cute train impression, Buttercup.”
He remembers me.
I shook my head, attempting to snap myself out of it. But it was no use. He was so tall, and I was so short, I had no choice but to stare at his body. Water trickled down his abs. I was mesmerized watching it speed up and slow down as it crossed the rippled lines of his six-pack. Damn.
I cleared my throat and finally spoke. “Chase.”
I was pretty freaking proud of myself for getting that much out. He had a towel slung around his neck and lifted it to dry off his dripping hair, revealing even more flesh. His pectoral muscles were carved and perfect. And—oh, my God…is that… Holy shit. It is. His nipples were cold and erect, and one of them was….was…pierced.

My Review
This is the second book I have read from Vi Keeland and I have to say I am hooked. This was such a good book. I fell for Chase and Reese instantly. I found Chase to be the perfect male lead, even though he does have some past demons, I think they shape who he is and make me love him even more. He was good looking, cocky, a little arrogant, but my favorite part about him was that he also had a softer side, and he was funny! I love that Chase had a knack for making up stories, it was always amusing!
Reese was a great female lead as well. She was beautiful, intelligent, and just felt real. She didn't feel unrealistic at all. I really felt the connection between these two from the start. To me there was minimal angst in this book, but plenty of build up. I really enjoyed this book and wasn't ready for it to end. Bossman was nice and steamy as well as funny with a side of sadness. It was just what I needed.
My only complaint is that I wish we would have gotten more scenes with Anna and Owen, I would have like to seen them more!
4 stars!!!

Blog Tour: Stroked by Meghan Quinn

We're celebrating the release of STROKED by Meghan Quinn!

STROKED by Meghan Quinn
Scheduled to release: July 20, 2016
NA Romantic Comedy

BLURB:
Reese King: Olympic medalist, underwear model, Greek god.

His body is chiseled from rock, sculpted by the weight room, and refined by water.

On a daily basis his skin is completely bare for everyone to see, tan and defined, only covered up by a minuscule piece of spandex. There is no denying his sex appeal.

I hate to admit it, but I’m head over heels infatuated with him.

There is one HUGE problem though. His achingly gorgeous abs, inked up arm, and cocky swagger belong to my boss, the high-profile, reality star bitch from hell and certified heinous human being, Bellini Chambers.

What I think is going to be an easy job assisting a glorified wench turns into a cluster f*ck of epic proportions.

My Review
I absolutely loved this book! It was laugh out loud funny and had me looking like a lunatic with how big I was smiling. There are so many funny parts in this book and if you are looking for something to make you laugh, and swoon, then this one is for you!

I really loved all the characters in this book, even the awful Bellini. In fact, she was so crazy and self-absorbed that it made this story that much better. Some of my laugh out loud moments occurred while being in her head. She is just so off the wall. That’s all I am going to say about her. Oh, yeah, this is told from three point of views and while that sounds crazy, it worked.

Paisley was such a great character and honestly, I cannot complain about her. She was very real. She was awkward without being overly so, intelligent, down to earth. It’s not often you read a book and have no issues with the female lead, but this was one of those for me. I liked her instantly!
Reese, oh Reese. Can I just say sex on a freaking stick? And he’s super charming and hilarious. And who knew a swimmer could be so sexy? I sure as hell didn’t, but now I’m wondering why I haven’t been watching the Olympics… I mean, if they look like Reese then I have totally been missing out on the eye candy..

This was the definition of a RomCom and had the perfect balance of laugh out loud moments, sexy times, and sweet moments that you would look for in a RomCom. Throw in a little angst and drama and you have yourself a 5 star read! I also have to say I LOVED the side characters and I can only hope that we’ll get a book for them, too!!!
5 stars!!

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
