REVIEW: Prince Charming

                                           Displaying Prince Charming-eBook.jpg

Blurb:School. Tests. Scholarships. Goals.

Senior class overachiever Geoff Miller thought he had it all figured out. All he needed to do was make it through the next six months, graduate, and get on with his life.

College at the University of Virginia beckoned him-- and he just wanted to put the last horrible four years at Heritage High School in the "done" folder.

Geoff just didn't count on two things: Laine Phillips, and sex.

At first, his passing crush on the school princess seemed to Geoff like a distraction from a boring life in a snobby Greater Cincinnati suburb. Then one day, it turned into something more...

Six months. Not that long, right?

My Review
I really enjoyed being in Geoff's head! This book is told completely in Geoff's POV, and I have to say it is very much what I would of thought to go through some teenage boys' minds!  Geoff hasn't had it easy socially at Heritage High. Grades and tests? No problem. Mr. Popular? Ha. Nicknamed Geoff Megadeath you can imagine how people see him. But aside from that I was actually surprised at how geeky others found him because he didn't seem that way to me. Just a smart kid who was somewhat arrogant at times. But he grows.

It really is amazing how much can change in six months. Geoff just didn't think his life would change so much. I really think the relationship with Laine caused him to shift his perspective over everything in his life. From the first interaction between the two I was able to see a difference. To see Geoff start to live. He really began to see that just because you are alive doesn't mean you are living. I really liked Laine too. I loved that she was more than she seemed. Aren't we all? I think she helps Geoff live and realize that he also has been judging people and Geoff helps her be herself and not someone she thinks she has to be.

4 Stars!!!!

REVIEW: Kiss the Sky by Krista and Becca Ritchie

                                             Kiss the Sky

BLURB: Virgin. Sex addict. Daredevil. Alcoholic. Smartass … Jackass. Her five friends are about to be filmed. Reality TV, be prepared.

Rose Calloway thought she had everything under control. At twenty-three, she’s a Princeton graduate, an Academic Bowl champion, a fashion designer and the daughter of a Fortune 500 mogul. But with a sex addict as a sister and roommate, nothing comes easy.

After accepting help from a producer, Rose agrees to have her life filmed for a reality television show. The Hollywood exec is her last chance to revive her struggling fashion line, and boundaries begin to blur as she’s forced to make nice with a man who always has his way.

Twenty-four-year-old Connor Cobalt is a guy who bulldozes weak men. He’s confident, smart-as-hell and lives with his equally ambitious girlfriend, Rose Calloway. Connor has to find a way to protect Rose without ruining the show. Or else the producer will get what Connor has always wanted—Rose’s virginity.

This New Adult Standalone Romance can be described as Friends meets The Real World. Expect fist fights, drugs, sex of varying degrees, crude humor and competitive alpha males. Definitely for mature readersaudiences only

 My Review
People hope to touch the sky. I dream of kissing it.

Oh this book. I think it is my favorite out of the Addicted Series, even though this is a spin off I still consider it as part of the series. Anyways, there is not many books or series that I would re-read. Only because i've read it, no sense in reading it again. But this series is one that I would read again and again. I know this is marked as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the others first, that way you have a better understanding and connection with the other characters.

What I loved about Kiss the Sky is that I didn't feel like there was any repetition about previous storylines. We jump right into Connor and Rose.

People thought she was nuts-- in a genius"I will devour your soul" kind of way. I thought she was fucking fascinating.

Connor, oh Connor. I have always loved him, but in KtS I fell so much more in love with him. He may sound like a smartass all the time and he is but there is so much more behind who he is. And him and Rose together? Fucking brilliant. They both are strong characters, but they work so good together. They push each other.

She was a genius on paper. But not a team player. She was quick to loathe others. But not against loving. She was a complicated equation that didn't need to be solved.

Anyways. In light of the scandal surrounding Lily and Lo's addictions, Rose decides that doing a reality tv show around their group will help people see who they really are. That even though it seems people know Lily and Lo because of their addictions, they really don't. In turn hopefully it will help Calloway Couture. I have to give major props to Krista and Becca, they did such an amazing job on the inner workings of a reality show. I love how they didn't make everything perfect, they mentioned how things were edited to look. Let's face it, we all know reality tv isn't really reality. The way they handled that aspect of he story was very well done.

He makes me believe that anything is possible. I don't think I'll ever find someone quite like Connor Cobalt.

Rose and Connor. I have to say there was some surprises for me with them. Good surprises. I liked finally being in Rose's head. Knowing how she felt about Connor and in return I liked knowing how he thought/felt about her as well. They work, just plain and simple. He knows exactly how to handle her, how to calm her, and frankly how to f*ck her. Boy does he know how to do that... That was the most shocking for me. I enjoyed every bit of their relationship. I wanted more and more from them! But I am excited for Daisy and Ryke. I have a feeling I will love Ryke just as much as I love Conner!!

"You're not a pit stop. You're my finish line. There's no one after you."

"Kiss the sky with me," Connor whispers, a beautiful smile pulling his lips, "and don't ever come down."

5+ stars!!!

Then one day a slight adjustment on the wheel of my mountain bike set into motion a series of catastrophic events that changed my life forever. About the Author:

A.M. Hargrove One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would quickly be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life. So, she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase. Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodge ball pro and had ├╝ber quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head. Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what lap top out the window. She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone, called her boss and quit her job. Grinning, she made another call to her hubs and told him of her new adventure (after making sure his heart was beating properly again).

So began A. M. Hargrove's career as a YA/NA and Adult Romance writer. Her books include Kissing Fire, Edge of Disaster, Shattered Edge, the series the Guardians of Vesturon (Survival, Resurrection, Determinant, Beginnings and reEmergent), Dark Waltz and the upcoming release Tragically Flawed.

Other than being in love with being in love, she loves chocolate, ice cream and coffee and is positive they should be added as part of the USDA food groups.

About TAKING SOMETHING:   I know what you're thinking. “You were such a jerk, Nick!” Believe me, I know I screwed up the best thing I had going in my life, but that was kind of my thing. I’d learned how to run cons before I could even form complete sentences, and I'd always been selfish. But I changed. Lila forgave me, my brother and I were getting along, and I was trying to make a name for myself in the music world.   At least that was what I was trying to do when I negotiated my way into the recording studio with pop superstar Sadie Sinclair. I thought it would be a piece of cake—charm my way into her heart and into her record label's good graces.   Just when I thought I had it all figured out, I got mixed up in a web of lies, manipulation, and deception. A web that had me questioning my motives and desires altogether.   Was the fame and fortune really worth the price?

Excerpt: “Tell me again how you plan on pulling this off?” Lila asked as she sat down on the edge of my bed. I had called her first thing that morning to tell her that I was heading to Los Angeles to produce Sadie's album, and within the hour she was knocking on my front door to offer her insight and suggest what was and wasn't acceptable Hollywood attire. “Same way I pull everything off,” I answered quickly. “I don't think making her fall in love with you is going to work this time, Nick.” “Seriously?” I smirked. “Now you're doubting my abilities with women?” “Not women in general. Just this one.” “She's no different than the rest, Rae.” “Yes she is,” she disagreed. “How?” “Well, for starters, she's like the most famous person on the planet. You're not going to be able to make her fall for your charms, record the songs you want her to, and then just bolt when it's over. She'll run your name through the mud and people will listen. So it will have all been for nothing if you can never get another job.” “What makes you think I'm going to bolt? We might actually fall in love.” “Are you capable of that?” Ouch. That hurt. “I'm just saying that you might want to consider convincing her in a way that makes her not think she has a future with you. Nothing is worse than a scorned woman, Nick. Look at how Brynn took it. She told everyone that would listen how big of an asshole you were. It's a wonder you made it through graduation without being murdered.” Brynn was a mistake. She had run a couple cons with me a few years ago when Lila went and fell in love with my brother. I should have known better than to sleep with her, but dammit she was good looking. Not to mention a hellcat in the sack. I had needs. Sue me. It wasn't my fault that she hadn’t understood our arrangement. Run cons and have sex. I never said anything about a relationship. “I have other ways of making women bend to my will,” I said, trying to convince Lila. “Do you?” She laughed, obviously not buying it. “Don't get me wrong, Nick. You’re a good guy, deep down, but you know as well as I do that every single scam we ever ran was based on one thing. She's gotta be different if you want to turn this chance into a career. You break her heart and you're as good as done in that world.” “Celebrities date and break up all the time.” “You're not a celebrity.” She shook her head. “I mean, you're kind of known, but...” “Are you here to give me a pep talk or completely kick me in the nuts? Jesus,” I sighed. “You know what I mean,” she smiled. “She's more well known. People will take her side. Believe me. I've read enough gossip magazines to know what happens to the guy who dumps America's Sweetheart. Have you seen Kevin Federline lately?” “I don't even know who that is, Rae.” Her eyes went wide and hands went up as if she'd proven her point. “Exactly.”
