Cover Reveal: Sociopath: Legacy by Lime Craven

Sociopath: Legacy (Sociopath #2)
by Lime Craven
Genre: Dark Romance
Reach for the scars...
Remember me? Aeron Lore: happy and humble. A people person. All around nice guy.
Even I can't say that with a straight face.
But seriously, things are going great. Leo's behaving herself; I'm enjoying making sure she behaves. We're a great team. SilentWitn3ss, our live-streaming news project, has launched to my favorite things ever: controversy and profit.
So when the FBI comes to me and wants to use SilentWitn3ss footage to trace a serial killer named Blood Honey, I'm only too happy to be superior—I mean, to help. And if Leo thinks the brutal Blood Honey and I have a few things in common, I guess that's to be expected, given my rather unique preferences in the bedroom. My...condition.
But I'm not like him. I can't stand that she would even think it.
If his actions threaten my relationship with Leo, I'll hunt that fucker down myself.
If he gets too close for comfort, I will make him bleed—and trust me, he's closer than I ever anticipated.
There's a food chain, grasshoppers. The buck doesn't stop with him. It stops with me. Blood Honey is a nasty son of a bitch, but I can be a lot worse. Question I want to be?
Meet the Author
I like dysfunction. Broken people who can't fix each other, but fit together because they're missing the same pieces. One of my favourite songs declares, "take the sinner down to feed desire," and that's my MO. I write dirty psychological thrillers with strong elements of dark romance.
I love antiheroes. Female characters who don't just accept their faults, but downright exploit them. No nice boys. No shame. Mindfuckery for all.

The name's Aeron Lore. And you are...? Such a pleasure to meet you, sweetheart. Is that a southern accent? Gorgeous.
You fucking bitch.
Why so surprised? I control a billion dollar fortune. I control the news. Give me five minutes and I'll control you, too. If you could read my mind, you'd probably call me perverted. Unnatural. Manipulative. But I've learned to blend in, to be funny and charming. A predator in a designer suit.
I have no conscience. No shame in taking the things I want. And what I wanted was for Leontine Reeves to sell me her boutique tech firm so I could exploit the fuck out of it. Maybe exploit the fuck out of her, too, because desire haunts me in shades of scarlet, and I desire Leo most of all.
I never meant for this to be a love story. I fought it kicking and screaming, the same way Leo fought me. Now we're bleeding into each other, making a mess. A chaos. There's no control here. And what do monsters like me do when control leaves the building?
We attack.

Cover Reveal: Love Survives by Jennifer Foor

Release Date: March 7th

Imagine being in love with the same girl since you were ten years old, only to have her fall for your twin instead. This story is rocky.
It will rip you apart and possibly put you back together again.
I know this because it's my story.

The pain and anguish experienced in this is what it was like to hold onto hope that some day we'd find each other again.  I won't sugar coat the details of what I went through to have her, nor will I apologize for any actions that led me right back into her life.

Sometimes love isn't enough.
Sometimes it takes a little fate.

Get the beginning of the story with Love Survives

My heart belonged to Branch and Brooks Valentine since we were children, when we were all too naïve to know what that even meant. We didn’t understand that when we became adults, love would change us. I had to make a choice and when I did, it ripped our bond apart. Brooks left town, and he took half of my heart with him. It was difficult, but I coped and planned my future with Branch. I thought I’d made the right decision. I loved him and I always had.

Brooks showed up to be our best man the night before our nuptials. After drinks and too much reminiscing, I ended up in bed with the wrong brother. To avoid the humiliation and the fact that I’d ruined all of our lives, I left Branch and the only family I’d ever known.

That’s where my story should have ended.

Two years, one beautiful little girl and an abusive marriage later, I was standing there staring at the man that would always hold my heart.

The only question was…

Would I give it to him

I’m Katy Michaels and this is my story.

About The Author
I live in Morgan Utah with my husband, daughter, and dog, Kolo. I write as often as my active daughter will let me and my husband has the patience of a saint. I find inspiration from dreams, people I meet, and life experiences. When I write, I usually end up drinking one too many cans of Peace Tea, eating three too many Fruit by the Foot fruit snacks, and accidentally kicking my pup and best buddy, Kolo, too many times since he loves to sleep under my desk at my feet. I started writing as a teen, but my fear of the unknown won out every time and I threw everything out. After becoming a mother and deciding to stay at home to raise my beautiful little girl, I tried again when I couldn't stop thinking of ideas. I loved every minute, every hour of sleep lost, and every character that came to life in my mind. It's strange, but my favorite moments are when I have writer's block because I can turn to my husband and find inspiration through him by just doing what we do best together. Talking, laughing, and just being in love. He doesn't like to read, but he never stops encouraging me to keep going. Writing has become an important part of my life and every book has a special place in my heart.

We're celebrating the release of SPEND THE NIGHT, Episode 1 by Elizabeth Lee! Check out the excerpt and giveaway below!

Spend the Night: The Hotel Collection Episode #1 by Elizabeth Lee
Adult Contemporary Romance/Suspense

Spend the Night – Episode 1

Welcome to The Wellesley-Crawford...
Hannah Wellesley has spent her entire life running the halls of her family-owned hotel, the infamous and opulent Wellesley-Crawford. Noted as one of the city's richest, most luxurious hotels in Chicago, the WC is what Hannah has devoted her life and career to.

The hotel’s Annual Masquerade Gala is the event of the year, but this year Hannah’s evening involves more than just handing out masks. After a mysterious rendezvous in a secluded stairwell with an irresistible and unidentifiable man, Hannah becomes consumed with discovering the identity of her masked lover. Just as she’s about to give up the search, two men blow back into her life with drastically different intentions. They both have secrets and uncovering them will lead Hannah down a darkly dangerous path.

Drawn to both of the intriguing bachelors, she’ll have to determine which one is after her heart and which one plans to do her deadly harm before it’s too late.

I scanned the room as I walked through the door. Checked my watch, four minutes after ten. No sign of Carter yet. I knew the restaurant shut down at nine-thirty that night. He probably wasn't done closing the kitchen down. I made my way over to an empty barstool and sat down.

“Hey, Hannah!” Myles, my favorite bartender, shouted over the music coming from the in-house deejay. “What can I getcha?”

“Hi, Myles,” I smiled. “I'll think I'll have a rum and diet tonight.”

He quickly went to work mixing up my drink. Myles was probably the nicest guy who worked at the hotel. He was average height and build. His hipster style suited him so well. Tonight he was wearing a pair of straight-legged black jeans, a pair of black converse tennis shoes, a vintage AC/DC T-shirt with his signature thick-framed black glasses. His thick, brown hair was styled in his just-got-out-of-bed way, which could be described as perfected chaos. He placed my drink down in front of me and started wiping down the bar with the towel he had tossed over his shoulder. “Want me to run this on your tab?”

Before I could answer, a twenty-dollar bill appeared next to I drink. “I've got it.”

I assumed it was Carter, but was surprised when I looked over my shoulder to see Trent standing there.

“Sure thing, Mr. Crawford.” Myles took the cash and made his way towards the cash register.

“I can buy my own drink,” I interjected, placing my clutch on the top of the bar. “Here Myles,” I started to hand him my own twenty-dollar bill, when Trent held up his hand.

“I know you that you can afford your own drinks, Hannah,” he said waving Myles off. “Keep the change. And call me Trent,” he said, as they exchanged courteous nods. He turned his attention back to me. “Consider this a peace offering.” He clinked his beer bottle against my glass.

“It's going to take more than just a drink,” I scoffed, pulling my glass to my lips. After the way he'd embarrassed me in front of the board, he could have shown up with a truck load of Bacardi and I still would have been pissed.

“Sorry for being a dick today. That was not at all the way I wanted you to find out that I was interested in running the hotel.”

“It was a pretty shitty way for me to find out. You could have said something last night.”

“I know,” he agreed. “It's family has a really complicated way of doing things.”
“I'm well aware,” I reassured him. I may have been young when the drama with Damien happened, but I'd heard enough over the years that ‘easy’ and ‘breezy’ were not words that were often associated with the Crawford name. “What I'd really like to know is why you have a sudden interest in running this hotel at all? You haven't been here for years.”

My Review:
I love this side of Elizabeth Lee! This was such a great first episode. I need the second one now! Filled with the perfect blend of steam and suspense, you will be on edge trying to figure out who "Him" is! Every time I thought I had figured it out, I was thrown for another loop! Well done, I cannot wait for more! This book left me with a serious book hangover! The next episode cannot get here fast enough!

Spend the Night – Episode 2

Someone’s playing a deadly game…
Two men vying for your attention—seems like every girl's dream come true. For Hannah Wellesley, the dream has become a nightmare. As she continues to navigate her feelings to determine which man she truly belongs with—the first love who’s become her current business rival or the enticing new chef who’s testing her sexual limits at every turn—a new set of problems presents itself. One that includes a breach in hotel security that has her fearing for her own safety and the reputation of the Wellesley-Crawford.

Soon she finds herself playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse that might just cost her everything she’s worked for—and maybe even her life.

Spend the Night – Episode 3

All games must eventually come to an end…
Hannah's new reality is that someone is stalking her. Aggressively. The only question now is who. Fingers are pointed and accusations are made as every clue leads to her down another twisted path of questions without answers. Her feelings for both Carter and Trent cloud her judgment as the investigation delves deeper into her personal life and into her heart. Carter’s past is a mystery and Trent has every reason to try and make her seem crazy. Her loss would be his gain after all.

Hannah will have to choose, but making the wrong choice will cost much more than a broken heart.

Everyone has a motive.
But only one of them has a plan.

Expect the unexpected in the thrilling conclusion to the Spend the Night series.

Author Bio:
Born and raised in the middle of a Midwestern cornfield (not literally, that would be weird), I’ve spent my entire life imagining stories. Stories where the right guy always gets the right girl, first kisses are as magical as they are on the big screen and anything is completely possible if you believe.

Although this journey began years ago, it recently took on a whole new life. After years of devouring hundreds of Romance, YA and New Adult novels, I had an epiphany... I should write a book. And I did it!

If I’m not reading, writing, enjoying drinks with my amazing group of girlfriends or chasing around a sarcastically funny kid, I’m probably watching television shows that were created for teenagers, while my husband teases that I’m too old to watch them.

My Review
Let me just say, this book was H-O-T! Once again, Pam Godwin has pushed boundaries and I LOVED it. Let's just say there are some scenes that I didn't think I would find hot, but I was oh so wrong. Every erotic scene was written so well and so was hot, that it was hard to not be turned on!
Okay, now that we got that out of the way! This was a great read and one that I could not put down. I was literally up all night finishing this book. It was that good. I found myself pulled into Kaci and Logan's world. I was trying to connect the dots and as soon as I thought I had something figured out I was mindfucked.
I feel like if I say too much that I will give everything away and I personally liked going in blind, with nothing but the blurb. I think it made the story so much better and all of the twists and turns better. All I can say is this book is super sexy and suspenseful. What a fantastic way to start my reading year!

5 stars!!!!

He knelt over my attacker, his strength visible in the stretch of the jacket over his back and shoulders. His helmet cocked, angled in my direction. “I had this.”
Oh my God, his voice. Okay, it was definitely synthesized, his timbre humming with an electronic overlay, but it was deep and gravelly and so goddamned sexy.
Pull yourself together, Kaci. He was far more dangerous than the man who just attacked me.
“Get out of here.” I nodded to the street behind me, and as if on cue, another squad car zoomed by. “I’ll hold him until you’re gone.”
What was I saying? I didn’t want him to leave.
I thought I heard a chuckle, but couldn’t be sure with the whine of sirens and exhaust pipes. He looked back at my attacker, swung an arm, and knocked him out. Damn. Okay, that worked too.
I lowered the gun. “You won the race?”
“Of course.” He rose and erased the distance between us in three strides.
My nerves shivered, overloaded and amped up, and oh God, he was just standing there, heating the air around me, staring at me. What did he want? I opened my mouth to spew a gushing thank you.
He snatched the gun from my hand.
What the? “Give that ba—”
He lifted my chin and stroked a gloved finger over the nicks on my throat. Each caress irritated the cuts, but I didn’t want him to stop. He raised the finger in front of my visor, blood soaking the leather tip. “Have you learned your lesson?”
His voice reverberated through me, and my knees weakened. Even with the electronic distortion, he sounded pissed.
My heart panted, and a throb swelled, hot and needy, between my legs. All because of a pissed-off synthesized voice? I might’ve just swallowed my self-respect, but I couldn't help it. My body had one mission, and that mission vibrated against me like he wanted to tear me in half. Damn me to hell, but my inner muscles clenched at the thought.
I touched my throat and flinched at the bite of pain. “It’s just a scratch.”
The reflection of my helmet in his visor wavered as he shook his head. He gazed down on me as if he were…considering something? God, I wished I could see his face, his eyes.
His finger returned to my throat, trailed a path beneath my chin, lifting it and catching on the edge of the helmet. He tugged it, like he wanted to rip off the shield and see my eyes, too. “Get on your bike, sweetheart.”
He flicked the safety on the gun and gripped my shoulders, turning my body to face the bike. Both bikes. His and mine side-by-side. Oh, how I loved the sight of that.
His fingers touched my hip, slipping beneath my jacket to stroke my bare skin. I trembled against the brush of his glove, until he opened his mouth. “This is your last race.”
The temperature in my helmet rose by ten degrees, and my cheeks inflamed. I glared at him over my shoulder. “Excuse me?”
Smack. A stinging jolt of fire rippled over my ass, and I shuffled forward. He fucking hit me! I placed my hands on the bike’s seat, and unbidden, a grin took hold of my face. He fucking spanked me.

My Review
Well. There is so much that went on within this story. While I didn't love it, I did have trouble putting it down. This book is jam packed full of emotion, angst, and heartbreak. From the the very first few pages I was in tears.

This book is more than just a triangle. It is a double triangle with Katy and Brooks always two of the points. Katy.. Well Katy aggravated me to no extent. At times my heart ached for her, but her decisions never made sense to me. But I understand that she had some serious issues that she needed to work out and though I did not once agree with her decisions, I still can see that she thought she was doing what was best.

I absolutely adored Brooks. At first there were times I thought I was going to hate him, but that didn't last very long. He was always thoughtful and a shoulder to cry on. Granted he also went about a few things wrong. Branch was another story all together. I liked him for about 4 pages... Then, well then I didn't really care for him much at all and wanted to junk punch him. But trust me, he wasn't the only one I wanted to junk punch.

Anyways, this was a good story. I wanted to like Katy more, but as soon as I did, she made a stupid choice time and time again. That being said, I can't say that had a been in her situation my decisions would have been any better. Sometimes you make choices in life and you feel like you have no way out and no other choice and then you end of doing something even worse. Katy needed more guidance in her life and I understand that impacted her decisions. Anyways this book at its core is about following your heart and soulmates. Sometimes the road to happily ever after is bumpy and full of sharp curves. But the road always leads you home. This story illustrates just that.

Review: The Law of Moses by Amy Harmon

The Law of Moses
If I tell you right up front, right in the beginning that I lost him, it will be easier for you to bear. You will know it’s coming, and it will hurt. But you’ll be able to prepare.

Someone found him in a laundry basket at the Quick Wash, wrapped in a towel, a few hours old and close to death. They called him Baby Moses when they shared his story on the ten o’clock news – the little baby left in a basket at a dingy Laundromat, born to a crack addict and expected to have all sorts of problems. I imagined the crack baby, Moses, having a giant crack that ran down his body, like he’d been broken at birth. I knew that wasn’t what the term meant, but the image stuck in my mind. Maybe the fact that he was broken drew me to him from the start.

It all happened before I was born, and by the time I met Moses and my mom told me all about him, the story was old news and nobody wanted anything to do with him. People love babies, even sick babies. Even crack babies. But babies grow up to be kids, and kids grow up to be teenagers. Nobody wants a messed up teenager.

And Moses was messed up. Moses was a law unto himself. But he was also strange and exotic and beautiful. To be with him would change my life in ways I could never have imagined. Maybe I should have stayed away. Maybe I should have listened. My mother warned me. Even Moses warned me. But I didn’t stay away.
And so begins a story of pain and promise, of heartache and healing, of life and death. A story of before and after, of new beginnings and never-endings. But most of all...a love story.
     My Review

"If you don't love, then nobody gets hurt. It's easy to leave. It's easy to lose. It's easy to let go."

It's been 8 hours since I finished this book and I am still thinking about it. If I think about it too hard, I can't help but tear up. I've read a lot of books, I've cried while reading several books. But this one.. this one took my breath away and I as I laid in bed unable to put it down last night, I found myself wanting to escape to the bathroom so I could bawl. I barely contained myself. Instead I laid in bed silently sobbing and powered on. Hoping that somehow my heart would be repaired. Because like Moses, my heart had been cracked, but mine was from reading Georgia and Moses' story.

But there are laws. There are rules. Laws of nature and laws of life. Laws of love and laws of death. And when you break them, there are consequences. And Moses and I, like a stream of fateful lovers who had before us and who would come after us, were subject to those laws, whether we kept them or not.

I am not going to say much about the book because I think it is better to go in blind. Better to let Georgia and Moses tell you their story. There has been talk about this book being somewhat paranormal, and while it may seem that way to some, it didn't to me. I understand why people may think that though. But I have to say, even if you aren't a fan of anything paranormal, I still think you should read this book and give it a chance. This was a hauntingly beautiful story and heartbreaking. My chest still aches when I think about certain parts of it. I wish I would have read this book as soon as I bought it, but maybe I wasn't ready for it then. I believe this is my first Amy Harmon book and I know it won't be the last. But I am afraid I may have to give my heart some time before I can read another. This one is still so fresh, so beautiful, and so painful. I highly recommend this one but be warned you will need tissues.

This is without a doubt a 5 star read for me.
