BLURB:
Grayson Sutton loves teaching...and she’s good at it. She's one of those teachers who throws every ounce of heart and passion into working with kids—and her students love her for it.

When Grayson hears about a position at a new charter school opening in Chicago, she knows she has to apply for her dream job—even though it’s over one thousand miles away from the small Georgia town she calls home with her longtime boyfriend Reid. After all, Reid has plans for Grayson’s future...and they don’t include teaching, especially not in Chicago.

When her offer letter arrives on a day with special significance for the couple, Grayson decides to compromise and move to Chicago with the understanding that it’s only temporary. But once there, she meets Emmett, the handsome owner of the school, and the chemistry between them complicates everything.

As Grayson makes a new life for herself in Chicago, she finds herself in the middle of a tug of war between her heart and home. Reid isn’t going to let go of Grayson without a fight…but neither will Emmett.

My Review
I'm not really sure how to rate this book. There were several things I liked about this book and several that I didn't. I think my biggest problem was that I personally could not connect to the characters as much as I had hoped for.
Grayson is a small town Georgia girl who is a teacher and is dating the towns hottest rich guy. Grayson and Reid have been together for 7 years. But Grayson applied for a job in Chicago without telling Reid. Reid at first seems like he is a sweet guy. It doesn't take long to pick up the signs that he is a different person that even Grayson knows. Her moving really sets things rolling even though it is clear to see it has all be there the whole time.
Grayson's move to Chicago goes smoothly at first, she meets her new roommate and they click instantly. I liked Olivia she was really outgoing and was really similar to Gray's back home best friend Caroline. Anyways- things with Reid have been tense since Gray moved and are only made worse once Gray meets Emmett.
I liked Emmett to an extent, just like I liked Gray to an extent. I really felt that things were so very rushed in this book. I didn't feel the chemistry between Grayson and Reid OR Grayson and Emmett. My favorite part of this book was anything that contained Avery. I don't think it was a bad read, just not what I had hoped for. It was just okay.
3 stars!
