  EXCERPT: I let out the breath I was holding and took another step closer to her. The water was splashing on the sleeve of my shirt as I reached up to grab both of her cheeks in my palms. “Are you scared of me?” It was the start of the questions I had asked her what felt like a lifetime ago. Her answer didn’t change, but this time when she answered, she was holding back a smile that made my heart hurt. “Terrified, but I kind of like it now.” “Do you trust me?” My voice broke. I had never really trusted anyone but Race and now there was her and my brother and just all kinds of new things making my life so much more complicated and undeniably fuller. “With my life. I trust all the parts of you, Bax. You need to know that.” “You going to go to bed with me?” That made her outright laugh and she reached up to curl her hands around my wrists. “As often as I can and anyplace in between when the mood strikes.” The rest of the blood racing around my system went solidly south. I dropped my forehead so it was resting on hers and the water from the showerhead was cascading down around us. I was making a mess, but I didn’t care because I had her, and she was my home. “Do you love me?” The words sounded so foreign, but so right, when I was saying them to her. She brushed her full lips across mine and the last three months without her faded away. “Do you want me to lie to you or tell you the truth?” I smiled against her mouth and kissed her back twice as hard as she had kissed me. “Lie to me.” She reached up and put her arms around my neck and took a step back, dragging me all the way into the shower stall with her. The water was lukewarm at best, and it made me shiver. So did the fact that she started to impatiently pull the tail of my shirt up over my head. A task made increasingly difficult considering I was now soaked head to toe and the material was clinging to me. “Of course not. You’re the last person in the world I could love.”

My Review

I loved Bax! He is so bad but you can't help but love him. This was such a great read and I couldn't put it down! I love that there is so much of a story. It isn't girl meets bad boy and falls in love, blah, blah, blah. No we actually get to see how bad Bax is. He isn't one of these characters that we hear are bad but never see it. Nope, we see him fully. The mystery aspect of this book pulled me in so much! I love a good mystery with some sexy times included! 

Dovie was such a good female lead as well. BTW- I LOVE her name!! Anyways Dovie looks like a sweet, country girl who would't know a thing about surviving in The Point. But it's important to remember looks can be deceiving and her life hasn't been easy and there for sure wasn't any farm in her past! I think what I liked most about her is she stayed true to herself and she never tries to change Bax. She accepts him for who he is, she knows he's bad. But some people are better when bad and he is one of them!

I have a feeling I am going to love this series! I cannot wait to read Race's book!

She looks me over, and I love the fact that she’s checking me out. I don’t know why I’m so drawn to her, but I am, and I want to get to know her better, at least where the bedroom’s concerned. Eventually, she extends her hand, and I give a firm handshake, the kind she wanted when we first met. “Please, Kale, call me Lucy.”       Shaking her hand, I say it out loud. “Lucy. I like it.”       “That’s fortunate since I’m stuck with it. Okay, Montgomery. As much as I love flirting with a hot ass soldier in the parking lot of an elementary school, I’ve got to get going. Maybe I’ll see you around?”       She starts to walk away, but I grab her hand, reeling her back in. I’m not ready for her to go, yet I don’t want to seem like some crazy stalker guy.       “Can I see you again? You know, outside of an elementary school?” I ask, my eyes bearing down into hers, begging for her to say yes.       She hesitates, and I’m afraid she’s about to say no when she finally responds. “I don’t date. I’m not looking for anything serious, so if that’s what you’re looking for, I’m the wrong girl.”       My cock practically sings at her words. A no strings attached relationship with a hot teacher right before I deploy? I couldn’t have asked for better luck.       “I don’t do relationships, either, Lucy. I just want to get to know you and to have some fun. No feelings, no strings, no nothing,” I tell her, and watch as a look of relief washes over her.       She starts digging in her purse and I watch as she scribbles something on a piece of paper before hanging it to me. “Number’s right there. Call me when you’re feeling adventurous,” she says. Before I can say anything, she spins around and swiftly walks away, leaving me to wonder just how adventurous she can be.

My Review

Let me just start off saying how much I love this group of friends! I love how all their lives intertwine throughout their individual stories! I cannot wait until we get to all the others in the group, even those I thought I hated. ::cough:: Branson::cough:: 

It is getting harder to pick a favorite book boyfriend from this series! As soon as I think I have found my favorite, Tessa goes and writes another amazing one!!! Kale was no different! I LOVED Kale! His character was fun, sexy, sweet, attentive, and still had a serious side about him. Kale protects what is his and when he loves someone he wants to be the one that carries everything for them. I love how funny he was though! He cracks jokes at his own expense but it works!!! I mean with a name like Kale you have to be able too! But he's got one thing right, Kale does a body good!! ;)

Lucy was such a laid back female lead. I really liked her. I liked that she knew she wasn't ready for a relationship but that it didn't stop her from still going after what she wanted! I thought I was going to get upset with her a few times but she proved me wrong and stayed true to telling it like it was. 

I LOVED her and Kale together! They cracked me up and they really were the perfect fit! I really like how their friendship and relationship formed. I hated the time they were apart just as much as they did! While there was some sad parts it was overall a light and funny read. There was some steam but it wasn't overly done :) Like I said earlier I loved seeing everyone's lives intertwine. I am actually excited to get Branson's story (Sorry Knox!) because the way he was interjected into Lucy and Kale's story was just done so well it made my heart break a little for him. I cannot wait to get Xavier and Cohen's stories too.. I am looking forward to Cohen the most though! :) Anyways I LOVED Lucy and Kale! Another fantastic read by Tessa Teevan!

My Review

Never Doubt Me picks up right where I Stand Before You left off. With Chase's brother Will and his girlfriend, Cassie, showing up on his doorstep. I was glad we got to see the relationship between Chase and Will. Even though it was clearly strained over Chase's drug abuse and prison time, you are still able to see the love between them. That doesn't mean things are easy. Their relationship is messy but underneath it all you can tell they both are just scared. I loved seeing the big brother side of Chase. He really fills those shoes well. Will doesn't make it easy. He starts making friends and bad decisions, I was glad Chase didn't sit back. It really shows just how much he has learned from his mistakes and it was just great to see how much he cares for Will and how he wants him to be better than what he was.

Anyways- Kay and Chase's relationship is not without struggles but I don't feel like their problems were major, which is a good thing! These two have been through so much in the past that I am glad their relationship isn't one bad thing after another. The struggles they face are realistic. That.That being said after that ending I am looking forward to the next book! I was not glad with the way things ended but thank goodness for that Epilogue! Without it I would not have been happy! ;) I have to say this was a great follow up to ISBY!

EXCERPT: “Thirsty?” I jump at the sound of a soft female voice, my hand jerking so the hose splashes me right in the face. Muttering a curse, I drop the hose and reach out blindly, wrenching the faucet off with one hand as I swipe at my eyes with the back of the other. As blue as the sky above us, and she’s so damn pretty, with delicate features and pink, pink lips, that I can’t seem to form words. “Who are you?” she asks curiously. Her voice washes over me, sweet and melodic and now it’s my turn to clear my throat to get the lump out so I can freaking speak. “Who are you?” I ask back like an idiot. She smiles shyly and my entire body reacts, a bolt of electricity seeming to go through me. “I asked first.” “Are you Hale’s daughter?” If she is, that sucks because holy hell she’s hot but yeah. She’s completely untouchable if she’s a Hale. “What if I am?” She kicks at the ground with her sandaled foot, her cheeks coloring the faintest pink. Innocence radiates from her. She looks like a damn angel and seems a little uncomfortable with me. Despite her seeming discomfort, I think she might be trying to flirt with me. “Well, I’d make sure and be extra polite to you since I work for your dad.” I go with the truth because I don’t want any problems from this girl. I probably shouldn’t even be alone with her. She could say anything, accuse me of something terrible and I’d have no defense. Her word against mine. And her word would win every single time.
