Review: Spend the Night III by Elizabeth Lee

Spend the Night III by Elizabeth Lee

Blurb:

Spend the Night – Episode 3

All games must eventually come to an end…

Hannah's new reality is that someone is stalking her. Aggressively. The only question now is who. Fingers are pointed and accusations are made as every clue leads to her down another twisted path of questions without answers. Her feelings for both Carter and Trent cloud her judgment as the investigation delves deeper into her personal life and into her heart. Carter’s past is a mystery and Trent has every reason to try and make her seem crazy. Her loss would be his gain after all.

Hannah will have to choose, but making the wrong choice will cost much more than a broken heart.

Everyone has a motive.
But only one of them has a plan.

Expect the unexpected in the thrilling conclusion to the Spend the Night series.

My Review

I just love these serials. No joke, every time I am left with a book hangover and that doesn't happen often. I read a lot of fantastic books, but I just Loved this serial.
It was hot and suspenseful. I was on the edge of my seat trying not to scream at some parts! This was the perfect conclusion and just when you think you have it all figured out, you are hit with something else. Easily a 5 star read. I cannot wait to see more of this side of Elizabeth Lee, it's a good style for her.

About the Author:

Born and raised in the middle of a Midwestern cornfield (not literally, that would be weird), I’ve spent my entire life imagining stories. Stories where the right guy always gets the right girl, first kisses are as magical as they are on the big screen and anything is completely possible if you believe.

Although this journey began years ago, it recently took on a whole new life. After years of devouring hundreds of Romance, YA and New Adult novels, I had an epiphany... I should write a book. And I did it!

If I’m not reading, writing, enjoying drinks with my amazing group of girlfriends or chasing around a sarcastically funny kid, I’m probably watching television shows that were created for teenagers, while my husband teases that I’m too old to watch them.

Release Day: Tight by Alessandra Torre

Blurb:
I was happy in my small town. In my life as a single, thirty-two year old woman. I had a good job, wonderful friends, my independence.
I also hadn't got laid in three years. Hadn't been on a date in two. Had stopped counting calories and wearing makeup... a while ago.
Then Brett Jacobs waltzed in. Caressed my thigh, dug rough fingers into my hair, lowered his soft mouth to my skin, took sexual control of my mind and stirred it all around with what he packed in his pants. He flipped my quiet life upside down and crawled into a place in my heart I thought was dead.
The issues?
His secret.
Her.
The fact that I don't even know she exists, and he thinks she's dead.
Everything is about to hit the fan and I can't hold on to him tight enough.
                                                                My Review
Wow. Just wow. Every time I read something by Alessandra Torre I am just blown away. Tight was no different. I went into this book expecting something completely different and what I got was so much more!
I feel like if I say too much I will spoil it but I thought I had it figured out. But then I was thrown for a loop!! I am still trying to process!
Anyways, Riley and Brett have a whirlwind relationship. Everything takes off and seems perfect but Brett is hiding something. Brett seemed almost too perfect but I couldn't help but fall for him a little bit. I loved Riley. I really did. Yea, some things were not well thought out but we're not perfect. She was likeable and relatable.
I loved the shift of POVs in this book and they threw me for a loop. This book is sexy and suspenseful, something Alessandra does so well!!

One that includes a breach in hotel security that has her fearing for her own safety and the reputation of the Wellesley-Crawford.

Soon she finds herself playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse that might just cost her everything she’s worked for—and maybe even her life.

EXCERPT

Yes.

I was finally going to find out if it was him. I knew it was. It had to be. Everything that had happened with Trent had been a mistake. Carter was the guy I wanted. He was going to take the memories of Trent away.

“Baby...” Carter mumbled against my lips, before removing them and pressing his forehead against mine. “We gotta slow down.”

“No,” I urged. “We really don't.” I pulled his lips back to mine. “I want this. I want you,” I pleaded, hearing the desperation in my voice. I needed to know the truth.

“So do I,” he assured me before taking a step back. He grabbed my hands and caught his breath. “Really I do, but I think we should slow down. I don't want you to do something you'd regret.”

“Never stopped me before,” I said with a playful wink. I hadn't let fear or regret stop me in the stairwell. Or in my apartment last night which would have been a good damn time for it to do so.

“Oh, really.” He chuckled.

“Really.” I stared up into his eyes waiting for him to just admit that it was him the night of the Gala, but he didn't. Instead, he pulled me to my feet and wrapped his arms around my waist. His head fell to my shoulder as he tightened his embrace. “This will happen, Hannah. Just not in my office with the entire staff of my restaurant waiting on the other side of the door. I'll teach you to be patient, sweetheart,” he whispered.
My Review
I am so in love with this serial. It is no surprise that Elizabeth Lee is one of my favorite authors and I love everything I have ever read by her.. But I think this serial may be my favorite.

I could not put this down and once again I am left wanting more!!!

In this installment things with "HIM" get a whole lot creepier. His identity is still a mystery, but now Hannah knows something is up. There are twists and turns I didn't expect and I LOVED every bit of it!

I think I have an idea about who "HIM" is and I hope I am right. I cannot wait until Episode 3 to see what else will happen between Hannah, Trent and Carter.

Blog Tour: Better When He's Bold by Jay Crownover

Blurb:

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jay Crownover, comes the second book in a combustible new series, Welcome to the Point, that is sexier, darker, and better than ever.

There’s a difference between a bad boy and a boy who is bad. . . . Welcome to the Point.

In a dark and broken kingdom, a ruler has be fearless to control the streets and the ruthless people who run them. Race Hartman is just bold enough, just smart enough, and just lost enough to wear the crown. Places like The Point will always have bad things and bad people, but the man in control of all that badness can minimize the devastation. Race has a plan, but can he prevent total annihilation without destroying himself?

Brysen Carter has always seen the real Race—a guy too pretty, too smooth, and way too dangerous. Basking in his golden glow is very tempting, but Brysen knows she’ll eventually get burned. She has enough problems without the risky danger and mayhem that comes with a guy like Race. Too bad Brysen faces a threat close to home that might be more dangerous than anything The Point has ever produced.. And the only person interested in keeping her safe is the one man she can’t allow herself to have.

Sometimes being bold is the only way to stay alive. But can she let Race save her life . . . if it means losing herself to him?

My Review
I LOVED reading about Brysen and Race!
Race is a good guy trying to take care of a bad place. The Point is dangerous, but it is a part of Race. I loved getting inside his head and seeing what made him the way he was. I also loved seeing more of Dovie and Bax through his and Brysen's eyes.
Brysen was a lot tougher then I had thought she was going to be and I really liked her character! She wasn't overly stupid like some female leads. In fact, I think she handled things the way most would. I loved her relationship with Race, Dovie and her sister Karsen.
I am loving this series and cannot wait to read more. There is a whole lot of stuff starting to go down in The Point and I am curious on how Race and Bax are going to handle it all. There are a lot of unexpected things and some things I figured out ahead of time too. Titus's story is next and I have to say I am intrigued by him and want to learn more! I am also hoping that Karsen will get her own story soon!

4.5 Stars!!!!
